PADI Open Water Diver Course

Embark on an unforgettable underwater adventure with our Open Water Diver Course (OWDC)! This comprehensive diving program spans a maximum of 4 days and is designed to equip you with essential diving skills and knowledge. 

  Knowledge Development (e-Learning)

• Flexible Learning: Complete this section at your own pace using a computer or mobile device.
• Duration: Approximately 15 to 20 hours of engaging content.

During the Confined Water Skills sessions, you will learn and practice essential diving skills in a safe, controlled environment. 

Open Water Dives (OWD)

You will embark on four open water dives at diverse dive sites, where you will practice essential skills learned in confined water. Experience the thrill of incredible boat dives as you explore four unique underwater locations, immersing yourself in breathtaking marine environments.

• Activity: Confined Water Skills (CWS) 1 and Open Water Dive (OWD) 1 (max depth 12m)
• Time: 14:00 - 16:00

• Activity: CWS 2 and CWS 3
• Time: 14:00 - 16:00

• Activity: CWS 4, CWS 5, and OWD 2 (max depth 12m)
• Time: 14:00 - 16:00

• Activity: OWD 3 and OWD 4 (max depth 18m)
• Time: 08:00 - 12:00

Note: Schedule may adjust based on weather conditions and individual progress. If additional time is needed for confined water skills, the course may extend by 30 minutes to 1 hour daily. Maldives law recommends a minimum 24-hour preflight surface interval after repetitive dives or multiple days of diving.

Total Cost: US$585 per person, including e-learning materials.

Payment: Full payment is required in advance to access e-learning materials prior to arrival. An invoice with an online payment link will be provided, noting a 5% bank fee for card payments. If your schedule allows a full 4 days, we can register your e-learning upon arrival at the dive center.

The price for the PADI Open Water Diver Course includes several components. It covers e-learning materials, required dive gear, and boat fees. Additionally, the price includes instructor fees, transportation fees, and amenities. All taxes and government fees are also included in the total cost. 

Minimum Age: 10 years and older.

Swimming Ability:

• Float or tread water without aids for 10 minutes.
• Swim 200 meters/yards without aids or 300 meters/yards with a mask, fins, and snorkel.

To secure your spot, please provide your preferred dates, and we will send you the payment link for online transactions. Once payment is received, we will register your e-learning, which can be completed before your arrival. This allows us to reserve your space, and you can visit our dive center to complete necessary registration, fill out liability forms, and check your dive gear sizes. We recommend meeting us a day prior for registration at our dive center.
