Course Overview

Knowledge Development (e-Learning)

Flexible Learning: Complete this section at your own pace using a computer or mobile device.
Duration: Approximately 15 to 20 hours of engaging content.

Confined Water Skills (CWS)

During the Confined Water Skills sessions, you will learn and practice essential diving skills in a safe, controlled environment.

Open Water Dives (OWD)

You will embark on four open water dives at diverse dive sites, where you will practice essential skills learned in confined water. Experience the thrill of incredible boat dives as you explore four unique underwater locations, immersing yourself in breathtaking marine environments.

Day 1

Activity: Confined Water Skills (CWS) 1 and Open Water Dive (OWD) 1 (max depth 12m)
Time: 14:00 - 16:00

Day 2

Activity: CWS 2 and CWS 3
Time: 14:00 - 16:00

Activity: CWS 4, CWS 5, and OWD 2 (max depth 12m)

Note: Schedule may adjust based on weather conditions and individual progress. If additional time is needed for confined water skills, the course may extend by 30 minutes to 1 hour daily. Maldives law recommends a minimum 24-hour preflight surface interval after repetitive dives or multiple days of diving.

Pricing

Total Cost: EUR 631.80 per person, including e-learning materials.

Payment: Full payment is required in advance to access e-learning materials prior to arrival. An invoice with an online payment link will be provided, noting a 5% bank fee for card payments. If your schedule allows a full 4 days, we can register your e-learning upon arrival at the dive center.

The price for the PADI Open Water Diver Course includes several components. It covers e-learning materials, required dive gear, and boat fees. Additionally, the price includes instructor fees, transportation fees, and amenities.

All prices are Inclusive of 8% Goods and Service Tax (GST) imposed by the government.

Prerequisites

Minimum Age: 10 years and older.

Swimming Ability:

Float or tread water without aids for 10 minutes.
Swim 200 meters/yards without aids or 300 meters/yards with a mask, fins, and snorkel.

Reservation

To secure your spot, please provide your preferred dates, and we will send you the payment link for online transactions. Once payment is received, we will register your e-learning, which can be completed before your arrival. This allows us to reserve your space, and you can visit our dive center to complete necessary registration, fill out liability forms, and check your dive gear sizes. We recommend meeting us a day prior for registration at our dive center.

Summarized

PADI Open Water Diver Course (OWDC) will take approximately 4 days to complete. However, you will need to stay for 6 nights, as diving is not permitted on departure day. According to Maldivian law, there is a mandatory surface interval of at least 24 hours before flying after your last dive.

PADI OWDC includes three main sections:

Knowledge Development (e-Learning):
- This section can be completed at your own pace using a computer or mobile device.
- It takes approximately 10 to 15 hours to complete and includes the PADI Open Water Manual, five knowledge reviews, four quizzes, and a final exam.

Confined Water Skills (CWS):
- You will learn and practice 24 essential skills in shallow water at the beach under the guidance of your instructor.

Open Water Dives (OWD):
You will complete four open water dives, practicing the skills learned in confined water and enjoying incredible boat dives to 4 different dive sites.

The total cost for the course is EUR 631.80, which covers dives and training, e-learning materials, necessary dive equipment, instructor fees, transport, amenities, government fees, and boat fees.

Please note that the following are not included: speedboat transfers from the airport to Thulusdhoo, accommodation, and meals.

Saturday to Thursday: 08:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 17:00
Fridays: 7:30 - 10:30 and 14:15 - 17:00
